Our charming, expansive property is nestled beneath centuries-old live oak trees, and lined with historic buildings, each with its own story to tell, from the Main Inn and the Cottages to the Courtyard Guest Houses, Apartments, and Flats.
Follow the brick-laid pathways, welcome the evening by a fire pit, and sit for a spell on your private balcony or on a rocking chair on the porch. From our front entrance to our courtyard gardens, all our spaces are designed to enjoy living at a slower pace.
Originally built in 1897, the Wallace Smith Mansion has been rooted in the Beaufort community for over 100 years. In 1920, it welcomed its first overnight guests, and in 1930 it was renamed The Beaufort Inn. Many changes have taken place over the years.
