Food Truck Festival (October 1st)

The Lowcountry Jaycees are having a fundraiser to benefit Jaycee Camp Hope. Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 1, 2022 in Port Royal on Paris Avenue! Bring the family and spend the day. Food trucks will open at 11:00 a.m. and stop serving at 8:00 p.m. Beer tent will be open as well. The Beaufort Food Truck Festival is open to the public with FREE admission.

 

First Friday (October 7th, November 4th)

First Friday is a celebration of Downtown shops, restaurants, cultural venues, and community. It’s a fun night for the downtown businesses and for locals! Come explore downtown galleries, shopping, and eateries throughout the evening. Enjoy entertainment and live demonstrations too! The event is FREE and open to the public.

Shrimp Festival (October 7th & 8th)

Shrimp Festival Run Forest Run 5k (October 8th)

Grab your running shoes and your best Forrest Gump attire – it’s Shrimp Season in the Lowcountry! That means it’s time for the Beaufort Shrimp Festival’s annual Run Forrest Run 5k. After all, nobody knows shrimp more than Forrest and Bubba.

Race through iconic movie locations to make Lowcountry history. Feel the ocean breeze in your poncho as you compete over Woods Memorial Bridge. Take your photo with a Forrest Gump impersonator at the Start / Finish line. Winners will receive the rare and highly prized Shrimp Trophy.

The race begins October 8th, 2022 at 8:00 am on Bay at NewCastle Street (in front of the Best Western). The course is USATF Certified SC18010DW (Exp: 12/31/28) and timed by Grounded Running. Run, Forrest, Run!

Bands, Brews, and BBQ’s (October 14th & 15th)

It’s time for some food, music and fun! Beaufort Memorial Hospital presents the 2022 Bands, Brews & BBQ, bringing two days of food, music and fun with wings, barbeque, beer, live music and fun for the entire family.

Pat Conroy Literary Festival on (October 28th – 30th)

The seventh annual Pat Conroy Literary Festival will be held on October 28th to 30th, 2022, in beautiful Beaufort, South Carolina. Join us as we honor Pat Conroy’s legacy as student, teacher, and mentor through our 2022 festival.

Presented by the Pat Conroy Literary Center the annual festival will be held as a series live-streamed author presentations and panel discussions, online writing workshops, exhibits, and virtual tours.
