The Perfect Spring Break Destination

As thousands flock to coastal beaches in Florida, we are so fortunate that Beaufort has remained relatively undiscovered. That reason in itself is one that should be taken into consideration when planning your Spring Break and Summer Traveling Experiences.

Beaufort, SC is located a short hour drive between Savannah GA and Charleston SC. It is the perfect place to relax, enjoy the beach, discover history, taste fresh seafood, and take in gorgeous sunsets. 

Example Itinerary

  1. Check-in to your room and enjoy a guided history tour of The Beaufort Inn Property
  2. Get acquainted with the neighborhood and explore downtown either by foot or bicycle (guests receive complimentary access to The Beaufort Inn bicycles)
  3. Enjoy drinks at Old Bull Tavern prior to dinner reservations at Saltus
  4. Enjoy sunset views at the waterfront while you enjoy dinner
  1. Grab breakfast at Blackstone’s before heading out to South Carolina’s #1 State Park – Hunting Island Beach
  2. Explore the Nature Center
  3. Climb the Lighthouse
  4. Relax along the beach and enjoy the calming sounds of the Atlantic Ocean
  5. If leaving midday, stop by Shrimp Shack on the way back into town
  1. Take a carriage tour through Historic Downtown Beaufort and discover Beaufort’s deep roots into American History, going back to the 1500’s
  2. Tour the National Reconstruction Museum and walk the streets Robert Smalls and Harriet Tubman once walked
  3. Read your way through the Pat Conroy Literary Center and put yourself in the famous author’s shoes of how he wrote his globally renowned novels and found inspiration in Beaufort
  1. Take a guided van tour to see where famous films like The Big Chill, the Great Santini, Forrest Gump, and Gone with the Wind (to name a few) were filmed.
  2. Bike along the point and recreate your own scenes from these picturesque landscapes
  3. Take a drive into nostalgia and enjoy one of South Carolina’s longest standing Drive-In Movie Theaters to end the evening
  1. Charter a fishing boat and catch some of the best cobia on the Eastern Seaboard!
